It's been an exciting journey for me to create the balance that I now have in my life with Tony, music, animals, friendships and the Rockies. My spirituality and belief that the universe is on my side has strengthened me throughout this journey (how could it not?) and it is this wonderful combination that has lead me to the joy of helping partners begin their exciting marital journey. I joyously officiate at weddings throughout Colorado Springs and Manitou Springs.
It is my desire and commitment to assist you in creating the most memorable wedding ceremony imaginable. This is a monumental day for couples as well as their guests and I am so blessed to be the officiant who brings assurance, grace, confidence and fun to making your wedding live up to your dreams!
I grew up in Lexington, KY and graduated with a BS in Medical Technology from the University of Kentucky. This qualified me to work in hospital laboratories and later to branch into the sales arena selling laboratory equipment to the hospitals and doctors private practices.
This is when I discovered that I needed balance in my life, as I was spending all my time working! I have always had a unique bond with animals and since the early 80's, I've always had dogs and cats…my kids. Their unconditional love and my love for them has brought me unimaginable joy.
I have had several successful businesses ranging from manufacturers sales rep to interior house painting, feng shui, re-staging, mortgage brokering to college recruiting. I love creating beauty and positive energy flow, wherever I go. I confess that I can't turn off that part of my being and that I'm always evaluating ways to make an environment more inviting. Interestingly, it was during the college recruiting process that I realized how much I loved the personal and intimate connections working with students to achieve their dreams.
I've lived in Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, Pennsylvania and moved to the serenity of the sunshine and mountains of Colorado in 2004. I've never looked back.
I met my life partner, Tony, 8 years ago - online! We made our magical journey to Colorado together, critters in tow. He's a wonderful acoustic guitarist, entertainer and gourmet cook (lucky me!) Our relationship is full of love, support, and communication (and great meals) and he has brought the wonderful element of music into my life.

I just had to tell you how happy we were to have Mary perform our ceremony, and we are so happy that we chose Lyssabeth's for our big day! Everyone that we came into contact with from Lyssabeth's was informative and professional as well as prompt to answer our emails and correspondence. I also thought your service was top-notch as well as very affordable.
Not being from Colorado, we were very nervous about everything going smoothly and getting everything in place. Without even having to ask, Mary emailed us instructions on how to get our marriage license, what we would need when we got there, and where to go. Her email came at just the right time, and thanks to her, everything went perfect!
We enjoyed meeting Mary and having her be part of our special day. We are so appreciative that she accommodated us by meeting us so early in the morning! Garden of the Gods was so beautiful at that time of the morning(7:47am), and it was definitely an experience we will never forget.
